Goal: $5,000 for Field Trip Bus Scholarships
The LBJ Foundation, which provides direct support to the LBJ Presidential Library, is participating in Amplify Austin, a citywide 24-hour giving campaign, this year!
Beginning March 1 at 6 p.m. and ending March 2 at 6 p.m., our goal is to raise $5,000 to provide field trip bus scholarships to underserved Texas schools.
The Impact
Lyndon B. Johnson signed 60 education bills during his presidency. He is the education president of our time. We carry on his legacy through the 11,000 Texas students who visit and participate in our educational programming and activities yearly.
We want to amp up those efforts in the upcoming year and reach out to students and educators from underserved Texas schools where field trip funding is limited to obsolete.
We want to support the educators at these schools in bringing history to life and connecting past to present for their students. What better way than with a field trip to the LBJ Library.
