The Atlantic Across America: Texas

The LBJ Presidential Library welcomed journalists from The Atlantic as the Across America tour made a stop in Austin, Texas, for an Evening With program.

With less than a month before the midterms, The Atlantic Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg joined Managing Director for Events Evan Smith to discuss the state of journalism and the stakes for protecting the First Amendment. Atlantic journalists Mark Leibovich, Ashley Parker, Vivian Salama, and Yvonne Wingett Sanchez then examined key issues shaping the midterm elections, including the economy, immigration, and voting rights.

The program was hosted by the Friends of the LBJ Library in partnership with The Atlantic as part of the LBJ Foundation’s Evening With series.
